We wanted to share this great video from long time customer Joanne Bartell! Joanne unboxes and organizes her May 2023 Hip Kit Club subscription. She discusses the Color Kit, which includes shimmer paints and sometimes comes with stencils and other items. Joanne shows off the contents of the kit, which include stickers, tissue paper, die cut set with foil, sentiment journaling cards, floral tabs, circles, and epoxy shapes. She also discusses her organizational habits, using specific record sleeves purchased on Amazon to organize her papers by kit and pattern paper, and her storage system for crafting supplies, using inexpensive and sturdy containers to keep her collections separate and organized.

Today we're exploring a captivating video by Petra, a guest designer for the HipKit Club Sketch Challenge. Using the May main kit and embellishment kit, Petra creates a stunning layout based on the sketch challenge. She incorporates circles, different types of paper, and even adds a unique twist by wrapping embroidery floss around the circles and using foam craft foam to elevate the photos.

Petra shares her techniques, from using double-sided tape to attach craft foam and photos to cardstock, to the art of fussy cutting for creating clusters of flowers and other embellishments. She also introduces us to her love for mixed media and Lindy's products. Using an old color kit, she creates a yellow layout, starting with small splatters and then adding larger blobs of Lindy's Magical colors. She even uses a Tim Holtz blower to create small splashes, which she dries with a kitchen towel.
